The Oak Bar is Den Hof’s latest project. Everyone can enjoy our bar. You do not need to be a hotel or restaurant guest.
In the Oak Bar there will always be someone ready to welcome you with a smile. We have an extensive drinks list that includes a wide variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
Marije offers us a brief explanation about how it became The Oak Bar:
We didn’t need to ponder long about the name of our new bar. Our establishment has not changed name of course. Den Hof remains and we are extremely proud of it. There is no way we would change that. It was actually my grandparents Nelly and Eric who called the property Den Hof, a name that continues to delight through the generations. We want to ensure that their memory lives in in Den Hof. However, we are not completely averse to change and when our interior design partner, Pinkey, came up with the idea of planting a tree in the new lobby, we jumped at the idea straight away.
The story behind name of “The Oak Bar” goes back to a trip to New York that my parents made in 2014. They visited all the latest trendy places and the Oak Bar was one of them.
I wish you a great deal of enjoyment in our bar and I hope that you will have the opportunity to spend some memorable lunchtimes and evenings here. Conviviality and a personal approach are very important to us and our team of bar staff have undergone professional training so that they can offer you all the advice you need in choosing the perfect beverage. Our cocktails, wines, whiskeys, gin and tonics etc. are all selected, prepared and served with the utmost attention to detail. We hope that you will enjoy them to the full! – MARIJE

“Kei goed hotel zelfs tijdens corona. We waren er met 3 collega’s en zelfs in deze rottijd hebben ze ons voorzien van ontbijt, lunchpakket en avondeten. Het was wel op de kamer eten maar dat had ook zijn charme. We waren er ook in normale tijden super vriendelijk personeel, nette kamers wat moet men meer hebben en dit alles in een super leuke omgeving in het groen. Dus zowel voor werk als voor vrijetijd een aanrader. Dank u en zeker tot ziens als we in de buurt van Zelzate zijn. Groetjes Rudi”

Perfect stay! We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay in this beautiful Hotel / Restaurant. The room overlooking the garden was cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The 4 course menu in the superb restaurant was delicious. And most of all, the friendly and efficient staff really make a difference. Thank you and we will certainly be back

My usual business chain hotel was fully booked. I was forced to find an alternative and happened to come across Den Hof. What a pleasant surprise! Excellent room and fantastic restaurant. Being a family-run hotel the service and genuine friendliness outclassed that the usual corporate chains. So in short, I will be staying at Den Hof whenever in the area or even if working in Antwerp as the commute was easy.

Voel me altijd thuis in Hotel Den Hof. Ik kom er nu meerdere keren per jaar. Vriendelijk familie bedrijf, met heel aardig personeel in dienst. Perfecte accommodatie in een rustieke omgeving, vooral het Parkhuis is een aanrader. Wifi werkt prima, goede bedden, kamers netjes ingelicht. Daarboven op nog een top restaurant.
